The suction sensation is different between my two Willow Go pumps or I dont feel any suction on on

If you notice your suction differs between pumps or one side is not providing any suction sensation at all, the most likely culprit is a crumpled diaphragm.

A problem with the pump parts or the pump can also result in a suction issue.

Remove and disassemble the pump and reassemble carefully so your diaphragm remains in perfect form on your pump.

  1. Remove the diaphragm and align it again on the pump, making sure to:
    • Align the tabs on the top and bottom
    • Push the diaphragm all the way through the middle hole until you hear a popping sound. You can confirm it has popped correctly into position by turning the pump upside down. The diaphragm should remain in place. If it falls out, try popping it in again. An example of this popping sound and procedure can be seen in the Willow Go™ Diaphragm Placement Video

  2. Now that you’ve positioned your diaphragm perfectly, let’s keep it that way as we pull the container back onto the pump. The key to this next step is to push the container back onto the pump straight or “clam shell” it from the bottom lip to the top, as you focus on clicking both tabs on each side simultaneously into place. If one side clicks before the other, unsnap and try again.

Closing the parts together like a book or a sideways clam shell causes one side to click into place before the other and may crumple your diaphragm, resulting in reduced or no suction.

Other potential causes can be tears or holes in the diaphragm, tears in duckbill or suction setting higher or lower between pumps. If this doesn't resolve the issue or you have any concerns, please contact our customer care team.
