How do I reset my Willow Go pump and when do I need to?

Try resetting your pump if you are seeing a red flashing LED Indicator, hearing abnormal sounds, having trouble with pairing or connecting to the Willow Go™ App, or the pump is not turning on, not charging, or not functioning as expected.

  • Do not reset the pump while the pump is on the breast.
  • The pump should be turned off before resetting (If unable to turn the pump off, contact Customer Care - you may have a button issue).
  • Make sure the pump has some battery charge before resetting.
  • If your pump is new, wake it up by plugging it in to charge. The pump will not reset if it has not been woken up.

To reset your pump, press and hold the power button for at least 6 seconds, then release. To ensure the reset is successful, count with a placeholder (example: one-Mississippi, two-Mississippi, three-Mississippi...).

The pump may begin pumping while you hold the power button. The pump will pause briefly and whirr when it has completed the reset successfully. When you release the power button at 6 seconds the pump will turn off. If you hold the power button down for too long after the reset (whirring sound), the pump will power back on and restart pumping. The reset is still successful. Just press the power button for 1-2 seconds to turn it off. If the reset is not successful (no whirring sound) or doesn’t resolve the issue with the pump, try plugging the pump into an outlet to charge using a Willow charging cable, leave charging for 10 minutes, and complete the reset twice in a row while the pump is connected to the outlet. You can try this even if the LED indicator on the pump is not pulsing green, red, or orange to indicate charging while connected to the outlet.

Make sure to connect your pumps to the Willow Go App regularly. The app will give you the most up to date in-app guidance (and features!). If you need to reach out to our Customer Care team, open the app and connect your pumps first so we can better diagnose and troubleshoot the issue.
